BI Reporting Services
Business intelligence reports your teams will actually open on a Monday.
We design, build and support BI reports for finance, operations, sales and HR teams across the UK. No 90 slide requirements documents, no reports that everyone politely ignores. Just clear reporting that gets read and used.

Most businesses do not need more reports. They need the right reports, built once, trusted by everyone, and refreshed reliably. That is what a proper BI reporting service delivers. We spend the first part of any engagement working out which decisions actually happen every week, who makes them, and what evidence is currently used. From that we shape a reporting layer that fits the way the business already runs, rather than a set of dashboards that try to force it to change.
Our BI reporting work sits mostly in Power BI, which for the majority of UK businesses is the sensible default. If you already have Tableau, Looker or Qlik in place we are happy to work in those, but we will be honest about what changes and what does not.
A good report is short, well laid out, has clear definitions behind every number, and is refreshed on a schedule that people can rely on. None of that is complicated on its own. The value comes from doing all of it together, and from being disciplined about what gets left out.

Where our BI reporting sits
Reporting across the parts of the business that need it most.
Finance and management reporting
Monthly management packs, P and L views, cash flow, working capital and budget versus actual. Reports that pass finance scrutiny and read well in a board meeting.
Operational reporting
Daily and weekly views for production, distribution, service and support teams. Numbers on the floor before the morning stand up, not two days late.
Sales and commercial
Pipeline, quota, win rate, product margin and customer concentration. Reporting that reps trust and managers can hold a review off.
HR and workforce
Headcount, attrition, absence, recruitment and cost per hire. Sensible reports for a small people team without a full HR analytics platform.
Regulatory and governance
Reports that need to stand up to an auditor: fully documented, versioned, and locked down with row level security where it matters.
External and customer reports
Reports you send out to customers or partners, either as scheduled PDFs, embedded views or Power BI Embedded portals.
How it runs
A four step BI reporting engagement.
We keep the shape of the engagement predictable. Fixed price for the first phase in almost every case, a written scope, and a working report in production usually inside four to six weeks. If you already have a Power BI tenant we work inside it. If you do not, we will help you set one up properly the first time.
After the first report we usually move on to two or three more, either in sequence or in parallel depending on what the business needs. Many clients then move to a retained support arrangement so the reporting estate keeps improving rather than quietly decaying.
Discovery
Half a day with the people who will use the report. We come out with a one page brief and a rough data map.
Model and build
Data model, DAX, page layout, security. Iterated with the users in short review sessions, not a big reveal at the end.
Test and publish
Reconciliation against the source, user acceptance on real numbers, then a controlled rollout to the right audience.
Handover
Written documentation, a short walk through session, and an agreed pattern for future changes.
Common questions
BI reporting questions we hear often.
How is BI reporting different from a spreadsheet pack?
A spreadsheet pack is manually built every month by a person. A BI report is built once, refreshes on its own, and is the same for everyone who opens it. The saving is measured in reclaimed analyst hours and in fewer arguments about whose number is right.
Do we need a data warehouse before you start?
Usually no. Plenty of good BI reporting starts against source systems or a small consolidated model in Power BI itself. A warehouse becomes worth the money when the report count grows or when several teams start needing the same data.
How much do BI reporting services cost in the UK?
A first production report typically sits between four and ten thousand pounds depending on data complexity. A three to six report programme is often in the fifteen to thirty thousand pound range. Retained reporting support usually starts around two thousand pounds a month.
