Hull has a heavy operational base. Port and logistics businesses around the Humber, food processing and manufacturing across the estuary, offshore and renewables work spinning off from Siemens Gamesa and the wider Green Port cluster, plus healthcare and public sector teams across the city. Most of these organisations sit on a lot of operational data that never quite makes it into a clean weekly view.
We normally start with one report. A daily throughput view, a weekly finance pack, a monthly operations summary. We connect Power BI to the underlying systems, rebuild the report properly and hand it back so it refreshes on its own. From there we can carry on with the rest of your Power BI reporting or move into interactive dashboards for the senior team.
For logistics and port related businesses we usually end up joining warehouse management, transport, customs and finance data so operations and finance are looking at the same numbers. For food and manufacturing clients we join production, quality and margin so month end is not a surprise. For renewables and offshore work we look at project cost tracking, resource utilisation and cash flow forecasting. Power BI handles all of this well once the model is built properly.
If your team would rather learn to build their own reports, our Power BI training is run in small groups on your own data rather than a fictional coffee shop. Most groups walk out with a working report about their own business, which sticks a lot better than a set of notes.
We cover Hull, the East Riding and up along the coast, and often work with teams that also have sites in Leeds, York or Sheffield. Get in touch and we will come back the same day with a realistic view of where to start.
